PREPPER 1
This 1-day, introductory course is designed to meet the needs of individuals and families living in urban, suburban and rural environments, who wish to become more resilient, and better prepared to manage sudden disruptions to their lives and livelihoods, due to natural and human-caused disasters.
During this comprehensive, 1-day course, you will be introduced to Sheepdog Survival’s proprietary ‘PREPARE Action Plan for Emergency Preparedness’, and work through a series of progressive individual and group exercises that will guide you in your first, critical steps on the path to personal, family and community preparedness.
Topics of study include (but are not limited to): The Sheepdog Mindset; identification and prioritization of potential emergency scenarios; emergency action planning; Mutual Assistance Groups (MAGs); emergency resource procurement; assembly, storage and deployment of emergency kits and caches; emergency plan rehearsal exercises, and contingency exercise evaluation; and how individual and family emergency plans relate to municipal, provincial and federal emergency management plans.
